Taylor Rose Mickens (it rhymes with chickens) is an indie jazz folk singer, composer, and actor.

Taylor's background in many musical genres such as jazz, indie, musical theater, and folk come together to inform their unique sound in their original music and their approach to songwriting.

Taylor just finished the NYC Broadway team-led workshop of the new Duncan Sheik musical NOIR in January 2023.

​

They've worked in theater regionally and in Broadway team-led workshops and readings in New York City. Taylor also placed in the Top 3 in Broadway World's Next On Stage Competition in the Fall of 2020.

Taylor's main interest in theater is new works and new revivals. She feels connected to stories driven by storytelling and excited by building roles, using her own experiences and working alongside other creatives to bring these stories to life.
